BOMARC Missile
The BOMARC Missile is situated in Lee Park at CFB North Bay. During the Cold War North Bay was home to the 26 Boeing Bomarc nuclear-armed surface-to-air inceptor missiles. The model serves as a reminder of this responsibility.

Barry's Bay Railway Station
Built in 1894, this railway station is one of the few original railway stations left in Ontario. The Ottawa Arnprior and Parry Sound Railway first chugged down the tracks, later making way for Canadian National Railways in 1922. The railway was in operation until the early 60s. Today, the restored building houses a tourist information centre.

Voyageur Heritage Centre
Located within the Samual de Champlain Provincial Park, this centre explains the history of voyageurs who played an important role in Canada's development. Features a pictorial display. Open from Mid-May to the end of September.

Canadian Ecology Centre
This centre is largely responsible for the area's ecotourism. Available are an extensive range of programs. Located within the Samual de Champlain Provincial Park, they maintain many trails that run throughout the park as well as 38 cabins. Contact the centre for more details. Advanced bookings required.
